The Boise Airport of Idaho was founded in 1926. Since then, it has become the states largest and busiest airport with roughly three million passengers annually. They currently host flights from American Eagle, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, SkyWest Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Republic Airlines, Horizon Air, Salmon Air, Sothwest Airlines, United Airlines, United Express, and US Airways.
As of 2010, the most popular destination for passenger flights leaving Boise was Salt Lake City, UT followed closely by Denver, CO. The remaining top ten visit Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Spokane, Minneapolis, Chicago, and San Frnacisco. Throughout the airport's history, it has been utilized by the military to support the air force during war and training alike. Into the late 1980's it was also a hub for Horizon Air which had around fifty flights to fifteen destinations.
If you need to reach the midwest of the United States, then Boise Airport will likely be your primary airport of choice.
